First Book Tour Stop - Tuesday, March 2nd, I had the pleasure of sitting at home on a zoom call viewing Glennon Doyle and Luvvie Ajayi Jones. It was a comfy couch, snuggle up with a cozy blanket and favorite drink kind of night. The First "Professional Troublemaker: The Fear-Fighter Manual" Book Launch Virtual Event for Luvvie was everythinnnng!!!

Glennon Doyle and Luvvie Ajayi Jones came through with gems, vulnerability and wisdom that I will cherish for a lifetime. After so many Zoom calls during this season, I was not distracted for one minute. Glennon and Luvvie's friendship bond, moral support and soul ties displayed grown women things. It is always inspiring to see. women with genuine love for each other! Luvvie blessed us with reading an excerpt of Chapter One discussing the origin of her troublemaker tendencies. She derived from a family tree of professional troublemakers but the foundation was her grandmother. This touched my spirit because it is relatable and real. Our elders are the original truth telling ancestors who let us know what it really was and would not think twice about expressing themselves. As a child, I was sidetracked by their bold communication sometimes and was curious about where that fearless tongue came from? This truth telling was wisdom, funny, hurtful at times and also eye-opening when I least expected it! Overall, I honor the troublemakers in my family and community for building up our strength and preparation for life.

The Professional Troublemaker book was necessary as Luvvie explained - there is a need for women to know their worth, celebrate themselves daily and not be afraid to speak the truth! There were so many takeaways on this night, I can't express them all.

Here are a few gems from Luvvie and Glennon:

Favorite Quotes:

Luvvie:

"Under Promise and Over Deliver"

Glennon:

"Art is about showing yourself, tell us the truth or don't write"

Ladies another tool you can use per Luvvie:

Women making time to write their own Oriki. Use this as a mantra in your daily life. This was a big awakening again because it gave us the time to reflect and think about how to honor ourselves and also how to honor others.
